Beer brewing

Strictly adhering to the German Purity Law, which was proclaimed by Duke William IV on 23 April 1516, our beers are brewed using only hops, water and malt. We use only selected, local raw materials.

Malt from our own malt house, aromatic hops from Spalt and water from Erlangen. We only use pure yeast from Weihenstephan for fermentation.

From the brewhouse to the storage cellar, all stages of processing are carefully controlled and monitored. We do not use any additional preservatives. Our beers are all fresh, natural and unfiltered, served directly from the storage cellar. This ensures that all the important flavours and aromas, yeast, protein, enzymes and vitamins remain in the beer.

We only serve specialities. You can taste the difference when you enjoy our beers, which are brewed in small batches in accordance with traditional craft methods, which is why beer production has been referred to as the art of brewing since ancient times.
